Anonymous asked: You post about phobic behaviour yet what you posted 'can i not be seen by white ppl too? cuz on okc there’s an option not to be seen by straight people' is actually racially aggressive towards white people. That is one massive contradiction and pretty fucked up. Just the same as being penalised because someone is queer, white, black, gay, trans etc, your penalising people because their white.

First of all, I was really happy to get this message cuz if you aren’t challenging ppl to the point where they send angry hate mail then yr prob not doin enough!

The term ‘racially aggressive towards white people’ just makes me laugh considering all of the violence white people have & continue to inflict on (queer & trans*) people of color I can’t imagine any POC not bein a lil hesitant to interact w white folx. Aggressive means ‘ready or likely to attack or confront’ - now if you see me strutting down the street & watch the interactions I have w random white-cis-hetero strangers you’ll quickly see exactly who it is that’s in danger. Living as a QTPOC means you constantly have to be ready to engage in violence because bodily threats come on the regular and no one will protect you but yourself.

It also just doesn’t really make sense in response to my original post… I asked not to be seen by white ppl on okcupid cuz those are the majority of ppl who show up as my matches & end up messaging me even though I specifically mention that I want to connect w more QTPOC.

I am mixed Mexican & White. I have two serious lovers who identify as White. Whiteness consumes my life, if I decide my personal capacity for white ppl has reached it’s maximum at this point in time then I don’t need someone else telling me: “are you sure you don’t wanna meet new white people?! I know some radical hipster queers who would just loveee to colonize yr body!” I know what I want, I decide what I need.

Now let’s play a game, which word doesn’t match w the others?: “queer, white, black, gay, trans etc”

WHITE! you guessed it!

In no way does ‘white’ ever align w any of the other marginalized/oppressed identities you listed. No one is “penalized for being white”, being white is a privilege & w privilege comes responsibility. It is white people’s responsibility not to fuck over all the POC around them & to not act confused when we don’t have an unrelenting urge to be yr friend/lover.

In the end this is about personal safety. If all the recent interactions I’ve had w white ppl have been uncomfortable/unfulfilling & if what I’m missing in my life is real, honest connections w fellow Queer & Trans* People of Color then I would hope ppl would be supportive of that & not accuse me of being “white phobic” lol as if that was even a thing - a phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of something & there’s nothing irrational about fearing white people :)
